Continental Airlines (CO) offers new nonstop Flight LAX to Guadalajara (GDL)

January 19, 2011

On May 3, Continental will begin offering nonstop service between Los Angeles and Guadalajara, Mexico. They will fly one daily round-trip flight on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Continental is adding this service to compliment their existing service to Guadalajara from Houston offered 38 times per week.   As part of the merger with United, Continental is expanding service from United’s west coast hubs.  Continental is also offering the option to connect to Los Angeles via United operated flights to Los Angeles from major west coast airports like; Fresno, San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, Portland or Seattle.

This flight compliments the nonstop service Continental already began on November 2nd between LAX and Leon/Guanajuato Mexico.

Once the merger between Continental and United is completed, these flights will combine well with the existing United nonstop service between LAX and Mexico City.  It is also expected that the new United will offer additional nonstop service to Mexico and beyond from its hub in Los Angeles.
